Joel Battaglia
Pastor
Joel Battaglia
As the pastor-teacher of LBC for the last 32 years, husband to my lovely wife Kristie for the last 40 years, and father of three adult children, two of whom are married, and proud grandfather of Sophie, Jackson, and Haisley. I am an incredibly blessed man! I was privileged to grow up in Vermont along with my five siblings in a strong Christian home. God began to call me to ministry as a high school senior and I attended Baptist Bible College (now Clarks Summit University) where I graduated with a BS in Bible and fell in love with Kristie. After getting married we went on to Dallas Theological Seminary where I graduated with a ThM degree. Following seminary God called us to LBC where we have had the great privilege to minister with passion and perseverance alongside a great team of leaders ever since. God has given me a passion to lead strongly and love deeply in discipling others, trusting that Jesus is enough. I love mountain biking, hiking, working out, gardening and beekeeping. “For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21).”
Kristie Battaglia
Worship Coordinator
Kristie Battaglia
It is a privilege to be the Worship Coordinator at Lyndon Bible Church. The Lord has given me the gift of “song” through singing & playing keys, and my job as the Worship Coordinator is to not only use those gifts for Him, but to lead the people I serve with to be true worshippers of Jesus, and in turn, lead the congregation in worship.
I am married to Joel Battaglia, LBC’s pastor-teacher, and we have three beloved children: Peter, Angela & David and grandchildren Sophie, Jackson, and Haisley. All of them are great gifts from God to me, and bring me joy & delight, much more than words could say.
I was very blessed to have had parents who took me to church at a young age, and it was there that I learned the stories of Jesus and understood my need for salvation. It was also there that I learned to sing in choirs and in small groups. Music has stayed with me my whole life, and one of my favorite verses is Psalm 3, “Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him…”
The things I love are singing & playing the piano, history, traveling, cooking, sewing, home decorating, and going to the beach.
Sue Grant
Administrative Assistant
Sue Grant
Greetings! I’m Sue Grant, the Administrative Assistant at Lyndon Bible Church. I am also the church librarian and a member of the worship band. I am a 6th generation native Vermonter, who enjoys reading, music, art, researching my family’s genealogy, and all things HGTV! I am a wife, a mother of 3, and a grandmother of 6 adorable grandkids. I have much to be thankful for. I am absolutely floored that the sovereign God of the universe would take any interest in me. He understands my humanness. He is patient with me, He loves me, He wants my fellowship. , and He desires the absolute best for me. I love the words in II Timothy 1:12, “For I am personally acquainted with Him, and believe with absolute truth and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity, and I am positively persuaded beyond any doubt that He is able to guard and keep that which I have entrusted to Him until that day when I stand before Him.” (amplified) Hallelujah!
